Yet Another Git(Hub) Tutorial

June 26, 2017

Tutorial, UC Berkeley - CDIPS Data Science Workshop Tutorials Week (Berkeley Institute for Data Science), Berkeley, California

I gave a presentation on the basics of Git and GitHub, geared towards first-time users in collaborative settings. This was the first day of a series of tutorials I am organizing for the 2017 CDIPS Data Science Workshop. Thanks to sponsorship from the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, the tutorials are free and open to the public. The presentation is located in github.com/diyadas/yagt.

Data Visualization in R

March 14, 2017

Tutorial, UC Berkeley - The Hacker Within (Berkeley Institute for Data Science), Berkeley, California

Following my presentation with David DeTomaso on data transformation in R & Python, I gave a presentation on the basics of visualization in R, to be followed by a parallel presentation in Python by David on April 18. The relevant Jupyter Notebooks are located in github.com/diyadas/tutorials.

Data Tidying and Transformation in R & Python

March 14, 2017

Tutorial, UC Berkeley - The Hacker Within (Berkeley Institute for Data Science), Berkeley, California

Together with David DeTomaso and Andrey Indukaev, I planned a presentation on the basics of data tidying and transformation, performing the same operations in parallel for R & Python, demonstrating the versatility of both languages for data analysis. I presented the R sections while David presented the Python sections. The Jupyter Notebooks we used are located in github.com/diyadas/tutorials.
